New to the city? Make some friends with Likealike

Have you recently moved to a new town and do not know anyone? Or, maybe you just want to meet some new friends who share the same interests as you do. If either of these sounds like you, then you should give Likealike a try. This recently-updated app lets you meet people, join groups, and plan hangouts nearby.

What’s it all about?

Likealike strives to connect you with others who share the same interests as you do. You can look for groups and events or create your own with the simple invitation feature. Meet people who enjoy music, movies, traveling, volunteering, or something else that you like just as much. Then, get together and have some fun.

How do I get started?

After you sign up using your email or Facebook account, just pick your interests and then your location. You will then be able to browse through and join groups. Review hangouts that have been planned and let them know you are attending. You can also see photos and a timeline per group. Completing your profile gets you on your way to setting up your own groups and events.

Recently updated

If you are a current Likealike user, the app has been updated so that you can now copy previous hangouts, making it easier to plan a similar event. If you are a new user, the interface is very easy to use, there is an in-app chat feature for notifications, and also a convenient search box if you are looking for a particular group or event. The app makes connecting with new people near your location simple.
