Apple announces the annual iPhone event with a focus on Siri

Apple Announces
August 27, 2015

As expected, Apple has sent out invitations to the media for a special event on Sept. 9. The event will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco at 10:00 a.m. PDT. The tagline for the invitation reads, “Hey Siri, give us a hint.” If you ask Siri to give you a hint, she just says “What, you can’t tell from my colorful wavey words?”

We suspect Cupertino will use this event to announced the next generation of the iPhone, which will include a body constructed of stronger 7000 Series aluminum, Force Touch, an A9 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a better camera.

Rumors have also suggested that a new Apple TV will be unveiled with a redesigned chassis, an A8 processor, more storage space, and a touch-based remote control. The new Apple TV is also rumored to include Siri support and a full App Store.

Check out Bryan Wolfe’s analysis of what to expect from Apple in September and beyond for even more information. We will follow up with more details as they come available, and will also provide full coverage of the event when it happens.
