Today, Sept. 19, Tim Cook is calling a “day to remember” because of the iOS 11 and ARKit launch. The comments came during a lengthy interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” with Robin Roberts.

When explaining ARKit, the Apple CEO said, “We’re taking the complex and making it simple, this is what Apple is so fantastic at.”

He continued:

In one day, we can make AR available for hundreds of millions of people. That will happen in a few hours from now.

Sometime today, Apple is releasing iOS 11, tvOS 11, and watchOS 4 to the public. MacOS High Sierra arrives on Sept. 25.

ARKit, which was first announced in June, comes with iOS 11. It uses iOS device sensors to overlay virtual objects on the device’s screen.

Other topics discussed during the interview included Face ID, Steve Jobs, iPhone X pricing, and much more.

When are you planning on installing iOS 11? As soon as it’s released or later this week?
