New Products From Nest, HARMAN and Philips Hue Announced
You don’t need to wait to see the leaves beginning to fall to know that autumn is almost here. Nest, HARMAN, and Philips Hue just announced new products that should look great in your home or next to your new iPhone.
Google’s Nest has released the company’s new Thermostat E smart thermostat. Priced at $169, it’s the least expensive Nest thermostat ever announced. Featuring white plastic with a frosted glass surface, the Thermostat E should fade into any background with ease.
Unfortunately, like other Nest products, the Thermostat E isn’t Apple HomeKit-compatible. You can purchase the Thermostat E from the Nest website.
In Berlin at IFA, HARMAN International, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., has announced a range of new audio products. Chief among them are two new personal assistant speakers, the Harman Kardon Allure ($250) and JBL Link series (starting at $199).
Mobile device owners should also be intrigued by the JBL Boombox ($450) and the JBL Reflect Fit ($150) headphones.
Also at IFA, Philips Hue revealed that starter packs now come with four bulbs instead of three for the first time. All are compatible with Apple HomeKit. The smart lighting company also announced it’s adding the ability to sync with movies, games, and music. The new Philips Hue Entertainment feature launches soon.
We hope to get our hands on many of these products for reviews in the coming weeks and months.
