The Incident is an App Store classic. Originally landing all the way back in 2010, gamers need to avoid getting hit by pretty much anything imaginable as they build and climb mountain of junk to find out the source of the madness. And the retro, 8-bit game has recent made its way to the fourth-generation Apple TV.

Up, up, and up. As pretty much anything you can imagine comes falling out of the sky, gamers need to guide Frank up the quickly rising mound of junk.

Night moves. After you've conquered the story part of the game, test your skills in the endless survival mode.

Multiplayer madness. Easily the best feature of the Apple TV version is the fun multiplayer mode. You can use an MFi controller or any iOS device running the game. After you pick a player, you'll need to reach the top while sabotaging your opponent. Up to four players can join in on the fun.

What is it about?

If you’ve played the game on any iOS devices, you’ll be right at home on the big screen version. Using the Siri Remote, you’ll guide Frank Solway as he avoids objects falling from the sky - everything from taxis to doors and much more. As the junk builds up, he’ll be able to climb the pile and hopefully solve the mystery. Along the way, there are tons of fun power-ups, coins, and other goodies to collect. The Apple TV version offers three different gameplay versions, the familiar single player and survival mode along with a great multiplayer option. Along with the Siri Remote, you can use a MFi compatible controller or even the iOS version of the app to compete in fun multiplayer action.

For those who...

  • Looking for a fun, multiplayer gaming experience on the Apple TV.
  • Enjoy playing the app on iOS devices.

Not for those who...

  • Don't like retro games.

Why we love it

Heading to the big screen gives the fun game a fresh breath of like. The multiplayer mode is tons of fun, and the game is still as great as ever. Definitely check it out if you've never experienced The Incident. Just don't get hit.

THE INCIDENT is a fast-paced, retro-style action game. Run, dodge and jump your way to safety as an angry rain of just about everything in the world falls and builds a mountain of platforms for you to climb up, up… up to the source of it all: the cause of THE INCIDENT.

"This iPhone/iPad game is really great - get it! $2. It makes me laugh every time I play it." —John Romero, Designer of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Quake.

"A game you pick up quickly, but can't put back down." —Engadget

"Gaming's Most Charming Vision of the Apocalypse" —Gizmodo
