Apparently AT&T isn't the only one missing self-imposed deadlines. TomTom spokesperson Kevin Carter has confirmed to AppleInsider that their iPhone car kit will not be available this summer as originally planned.  Instead, it will be released sometime in October.
"I can confirm that we have decided to take some extra weeks in order to deliver the highest quality on this innovative product," Carter said. "So, the car kit will become available for purchase this October on www.tomtom.com."
TomTom's iPhone FAQ section page was also update to reflect the change. The TomTom car kit will offer an enhanced GPS signal, ability to charge your device, hands-free dialing, speaker, audio out, third-party app support, and it will even be able to turn your original iPhone and iPod touch into a GPS device.  Pricing and the exact date of availability remain unknown.
