AT&T And Apple May Implement New Features Based On Customer Feedback

Now that AT&T has set a specific date for the arrival of MMS, they have apparently decided to start working on implementing other new features based on customer feedback, and no, it's not tethering.  According to AppleInsider's sources who claim "knowledge of the matter," Apple and AT&T may implement push-powered overage alerts and new voicemail options via a future software update. The proposed overage alerts feature would be a new setting under the iPhone's "Phone" preferences that would allow you to customize Push Notifications that would be issued when you are about to exceed your monthly anytime minutes.  The proposed Voicemail feature, which would also be located under the iPhone's "Phone" preferences, would allow you to disable your custom Voicemail greeting and AT&T's own greeting that's heard by other users.  You would also be able to disable greetings when placing calls to other AT&T customers. The features are said to be based off of customer feedback in an attempt to boost customer satisfaction, although many would say this is much too little much too late.  The features are also said to serve as a "steppingstone" for future carrier-specific features, as they require AT&T to make changes on their end. Don't forget, AT&T already allows you to check your minutes and data usage via their free myWireless Mobile app, but it doesn't feature Push Notifications.
