Did you know today was
Columbus Day? I know I didn't until I stumbled upon
Boxcar's Columbus Day sale.
Boxcar is a push-enabled Twitter, Facebook, and email app, at least in a sense. It isn't meant to replace any of your favorite apps, it just makes them more useful with Push Notifications.
Boxcar, when it was first released, was able to send you Push Notifications when you received mentions and direct messages via Twitter, but now it is even more powerful with the ability to send Push Notifications for Twitter trends and searches, Facebook notifications and messages, and emails.
Boxcar now supports loads of different Twitter apps, including

Tweetie,
Tweetie 2,
Twitterrific,
Echofon,
SimplyTweet, and many more. And, of course, it supports the
Facebook iPhone app, so no matter which service you choose to use,
Boxcar should be able to open it.
Boxcar is normally priced at $2.99, but today and today only it will be available for $.99.
Boxcar comes with the ability to send Push Notifications for one account, but you can add more accounts if you wish via in-app purchases at the cost of $.99 per account.
