Chop Chop Runner Ninja Jumps Into The App Store

March 19, 2010

Gamerizon has just released the second game that takes place in their Chop Chop world titled Chop Chop Runner, a running game similar to Canabalt but with a whole lot of ninja moves. In Chop Chop Runner you are once again in complete control of Iro-san, the little ninja that could, and you must rescue a beautiful princess from the clutches of evil.  Chop Chop Runner shares the same adorable and colorful cartoon design as Chop Chop Ninja and, thankfully, shares the same single finger tap controls. The idea of Chop Chop Runner is to run as far as possible without succumbing to the many enemies or falling down a hole.  Your ninja runs forward automatically, where the further you get the faster he goes, and you can leap over holes with a single tap on the screen.  A quick tap will make your ninja jump only a short distance, while tapping and holding will make him fly through the air.  While running you will also encounter a wide variety of enemies that can easily be disposed of with a simple tap. Chop Chop Runner features OpenFeint integration which provides global leaderboards for both distance traveled and enemies killed, and it also provides 12 unique achievements. If you have played and enjoyed Chop Chop Ninja, Chop Chop Runner is a no-brainer at $.99.  The frantic and fun gameplay might even convert some of you non-running game believers.
