iPhone 4 Supports VGA Output And Apps Fit iPad Screen

If you need another couple of reasons to justify your upcoming purchase of a new iPhone 4, we've got a few - albeit obvious - facts about Apple's new superphone.
Now, you're probably already massively excited about iPhone 4's highly anticipated Retina display, and know already that this feature is going to make doing anything on the phone look amazing.
Additionally, iPhone 4 apps will also pretty much fit onto an iPad screen. With a resolution of 940x640, there isn't much difference between the iPhone's resolution and that of the iPad - which rests at a cool 1024x768. This means that running iPhone 4 apps on an iPad won't quite fit the full screen, but at the same time they're not going to be far off the edges. Check out the picture below to get an idea of what to expect.
It's also worth noting that the iPhone 4 will support Apple's iPad Dock Connector to VGA.
However it is still not possible to output movies that have legitimately been purchased through iTunes, which makes Apple's iPad VGA connector somewhat redundant (and explains the largely negative reviews it's received in the Apple Store).
But don't forget: unlike the iPad, the iPhone 4 can record and edit 720p HD movies, which can then be screened through Apple's adapter, providing an additional reason to purchase the connector kit and use it with the iPhone 4.
Whether you're bothered about outputting video from your iPhone 4 to a TV or not, one aspect of Apple's new handset that is impossible to deny is the display. And with the phone's release set for June 24, it's definitely something to look out for when the phone hits stores.
