Nimbuzz Updates To 2.0, Adds New Features

June 16, 2010

Nimbuzz, a free multi-messaging and VoIP application for the iPhone, has just received a major update to 2.0. With this comes a whole host of new features and improvements which will undoubtedly benefit the app's 20 million users. These include faster connection and loading speeds, a new look and feel, and NimbuzzOut integration on the app's dial pad. The application is completely free, and works very well indeed - both as a VoIP client and with chat services such as Facebook, MSN, Yahoo, AIM and many more. File sharing is also supported with Skype, and the app also includes push notifications: the Holy Grail of iPhone chat applications.

So make sure you check out Nimbuzz's new update. I have to admit, even on my tired old iPhone 3G the app now jumps to life and loads in a flash since I applied this update - and even if you're not fussed about any of the other improvements, this should be reason enough to keep Nimbuzz users content. And if you haven't yet downloaded Nimbuzz, check it out! At the end of the day, it's totally free - and the app itself isn't half bad. [via Nimbuzz]
