Ready To Upgrade? AT&T Says "Yes We Can"

June 8, 2010

Want the iPhone4 but just recently purchased a 3gs or other phone and don't want to spend $500 to upgrade? Then you may be in luck thanks to a great deal from AT&T! If your upgrade eligibility date is any time in 2010 or before, then you can get an iPhone 4 at $199 for the 16G model or $299 for the 32G model. Not sure when your upgrade eligibility date is? Just dial *639# from your phone and AT&T will text you back, letting you know when you are eligibile for an update. Not eligible for an upgrade this year? AT&T will still knock $200 off the purchase price of an iPhone 4 if you just have to get it.

What this means to Apple is that anyone still using an original iPhone, iPhone 3g and most iPhone 3gs owners can upgrade to the iPhone 4 starting on June 24th and set new records for units sold. The sheer volume sold on the first weekend will make Apple investors giddy and frustrate it's competitors. For some, the iPhone4 is a game-changer, worth upgrading at any cost. For others, it's just another iPhone. What do you think? Are you eligible for upgrade? If you are, will you be upgrading? Let us know in the comments.
