Stanza eBook Reader Update Makes Reading Even Easier With iOS 4 And iPhone 4
June 26, 2010
Earlier this month we told you about Stanza becoming a universal app, thereby gaining native Pad support. Today's update looks to take the app a step further with features that may just completely round out all of your eBook reading needs.
The latest version adds support for the iPhone 4's Retina display, fast app switching, and PDF integration with supported apps. You can now read text easier, get back to reading in a brief moment from an interruption, and use Stanza to read PDFs opened in Mail, Safari, etc by using the open with option. Fast app switching is only available on the third generation iPod touch, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4 running iOS 4. Retina display support is only for iPhone 4.
Stanza allows you to find and purchase thousands of books through a number of partner stores, or find free classics and recent original works available from Project Gutenberg. Have your own source for eBooks and related material? Sync them with your iDevice using iTunes or the free Calibre application for Mac OS X, Windows or LInux. The combination of iTunes 9.2 and iOS 4 lets you easily transfer compatible format documents to your iPad, and now iPod touch and iPhone. Select your device in the source section of iTunes, click the Apps tab, and scroll down to the file sharing section.
You can click on the screenshot above to get a better idea of how great your reading experience can be on your iPhone 4. If you haven't already, go download your free copy of Stanza and find a greet new eBook to relax with.
