Would You Stick Your iPad To The Kitchen Fridge?

July 30, 2010

Would you stick your iPad to the kitchen fridge? I'm not sure whether I would, either. I know we've had issues with iPads overheating, but I think this new case might be a step too far. Regardless of this, Woodford Design's FridgePad is due to retail at Amazon for around $80 (£49), which means that somebody, somewhere, thinks someone else will buy it. However, as 9to5Mac reports, the FridgePad's creator thinks we should really buy-and-try before we decide:
"The FridgePad is an accessory to make the iPad work better for you. This really is one of those products that once you have tried it you'll love it."
Additionally, the case isn't just a hunk of plastic. It's a hunk of high-quality aluminium, so maybe it's a heck of a lot better than it looks.
"Woodford Design wanted to take iPad accessories to the next level of quality, so the FridgePad is more than just a fridge magnet. It has been cast and machined out of a solid chunk of high quality aluminium and will be offered in a luxurious silver finish."
Personally, I think I'd rather buy 80 lottery tickets instead of take a risk on the FridgePad, but that's just me. I've never been a fan of fridge magnets. In all honesty, I do slam my fridge door with a little more vigor than I should, so maybe I'm not the ideal customer. Regardless, with a great many alternative iPad-mounting cases available on the market, would you spend $80 on the FridgePad? Let us know in the comments box below!
