Want To Disable Multitasking Or Custom Backgrounds?

August 14, 2010
Remember zToggle, the jailbreak app we told you about last month that allows iPhone 3G owners to switch off jailbreak-enabled multitasking and custom backgrounds on their handset? Well, the application has just been updated to version 3.0 - which brings support for iPhone 3GS and 4 owners running iOS 4. The free application, which is available in Cydia through the BigBoss Repository will take some of the strain off your iDevice (if you think it's feeling it). I can perfectly understand why an iPhone 3G owner might need this application. But, personally, my iPhone 4 seems to handle multitasking and custom backgrounds very well indeed, as you'd expect. I guess when it comes to zToggle's use on Apple's most recent handset, it boils down to a matter of taste. If custom backgrounds and multitasking are getting under your skin, be sure to check out zToggle and put an end to these iOS 4 features immediately. And, if you decide to use zToggle on your iPhone 3GS or 4, be sure to let us know why in the comments box below!
