The one problem with travelling is that, even though international adapters might escape the suitcase, your native language is never left behind. And, unless you've got a decent grasp of the nearly 7,000 different languages on the planet, you may sometimes find even the simplest task - such as ordering dinner - to be a pretty high mountain to climb.
But, worry not, because a recently-released application for the iPhone dubbed Foodictionary can do the job for you with ease. And, though the application doesn't support every language on the planet, seven major ones are covered in depth.
As you can see from the above and below screenshots, users may select their desired translation either through a categorized list, or via a search which provides a list of possible answers to your keyword-based question.
The application is elegant, simple, and easy to use. Users may save key terms for future perusal, and there's no need to have access to the Internet while using the application, as everything is pre-loaded. This is handy, as international data downloads cost the earth.
So, if you're planning a vacation abroad, be sure to load up Foodictionary on your iPhone and order dinner in style! The application is priced at $4.99 and is available in the App Store now. And, as always, let us know your experiences with the app in the comments box below! Thanks to iPhone User Guide for spotting this.
