Netflix Holds Top Spot In App Store Rankings

August 27, 2010
The popular iPad application, Netflix, recently became universal - meaning iPhone owners can now make use of this great app. Since its universal release yesterday, the app has rapidly climbed the App Store's charts and now holds the number one spot on the Top Free apps list. Netflix for iPhone and iPad obviously requires a paid Netflix account, and for this reason, the universal app is free. If you're not a Netflix subscriber, you can take out a free trial and see how the app works for you. Sadly, Netflix is currently limited to the United States - though many (including myself) are still hoping for international availability. If you do decide to take a look at the Netflix iDevice application, be sure to do so over Wi-Fi - unless you have a lot of cellular data to use up. The last thing anyone needs is to get billed extra for going beyond our data limits. And, don't forget to let us know how the app works for you in the comments box below! So far reviews are pretty mixed on iTunes - we'd be very interested to hear what our readers think of Netflix's application. [Image credit: 9to5Mac]
