Toshiro Limited is a company focused on bringing child entertainment and edutainment software to a number of platforms. The company's recent entry into the App Store certainly seems to follow that intention well. Play Bricks is a game that can be fun for any age. Of course, most parents will be happy enough for something safe and fun to occupy the 'little ones' during commutes and other times of necessary patience.
At the top of the screen are seven buttons, including four different shapes and a bomb. Tap and drag from those buttons to create a randomly chosen colored block or a bomb. Objects work with physics movements, dropping to the bottom of the screen and rolling around as they are manipulated. Tossing a block or bomb out of the screen makes it no longer in play.
While it's possible to demolish with just a few swipes of the finger, some may get bored with just attempting to construct some basic creations. Toshiro realizes that children do have those occasional destructive urges, and so they've added a bomb to the excitement. Handled carefully, a bomb can be placed like any other block, but drop it or toss it too fast and they'll be a scattering of blocks galore.
Play Bricks is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 3.0 or later.
