NY Times: WSJ Is Right - Verizon iPhone Is Coming Early 2011

Earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal went out on a limb, and stated that we'd see a Verizon iPhone by early 2011. Obviously, we all took this with a grain of salt: more often than not, such predictions turn out to be false. We've heard rumors of a Verizon iPhone for years now, and so far, nothing's come of it.
Interestingly enough, The New York Times has recently and independently confirmed this prediction in a report published a couple of days ago. As you might expect, this has added further validity to The Wall Street Journal's previous claims.
The arrival of the iPhone on Verizon, which has long been expected and frequently rumored, could sharply alter the dynamics of the smartphone market in the United States.iPhone 5 rumors have already begun to circulate, with a prediction being a Verizon (or even Sprint) handset. Apple fans would undoubtedly appreciate having the choice of two, or even three carriers; even if tariffs remain similar. So, until 2011, all we can do is wait. If a Verizon iPhone would tempt you to take out a contract, let us know in the comments below!
