Instapaper Update - Do Not Install On Your iPad Unless You're Running iOS 4.2.1

The popular universal iOS app, Instapaper, received a great new update yesterday. However, users of the application are now being urged not to update unless they're running iOS 4.2.1 on their iPad. As you can see from the app's release notes (above), the new version of Instapaper crashes on iPads running iOS 3.2. Here's the full warning:
IPAD USERS: PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL THIS UPDATE unless you have installed the new iOS 4.2.1. IT CRASHES ON IPADS RUNNING 3.2. I'm VERY sorry about this. I've submitted an update to Apple to fix it and it should be available ASAP.Apple's latest software update, iOS 4.2.1, is a unification release, meaning it runs on all iOS devices. It was released to the public yesterday, the same day Instapaper's update went live. Obviously, if you have installed Instapaper's update, you can fix the issue by installing iOS 4.2.1. And, what's more, this latest version of the iOS brings a load of great new features to the iPad, so it's definitely worth updating. However, iPad owners wishing to preserve an untethered jailbreak will certainly want to avoid this update. As of this moment, the iPhone Dev-Team has only made a tethered jailbreak available. An untethered release is in the works, though currently we're not sure when it will be completed. The latest version of Instapaper brings support for AirPrint, and makes sharing articles you've discovered even easier. Here's a list of changes, taken from the app's release notes: Instapaper now requires at least iPhone OS 3.1. (Previously, 3.0 was required.)
- Added a map to the auto-dark-mode setting if location-sensing fails so you can manually set your location.
- Added Print feature on iOS 4.2.
- Added app icons to Share panel. (With nice gray ones for dark mode.)
- Supports sending to more apps in Share panel if you have them installed: Shareables, Pastebot, GoodReader, iCab Mobile, 360 Web Browser, Atomic Web Browser, Full Screen Browser, Sopods Full Screen, Offline Pages, Firetask, Ideawell, Appigo ToDo, Notebooks, Notitas, Print Magic, Seesmic, SimplyTweet, Yummy, Delibar, and Terminology. Previous apps are still supported: Tumblr, Twitter, Twitterrific, Birdhouse, Echofon, Twittelator, OmniFocus, QuickReader.
- Fixed errors posting to Twitter.
- Fixed occasional crashes after toggling dark mode or sharing to Tumblr.
- Fixed several interface bugs, including the gray-square bug and the accuracy of the scroll indicator on iPad.
