Jailbreak Only: Redsn0w Updated, Brings Support For iOS 4.2.1 GM

November 21, 2010
The iPhone Dev-Team has just updated Redsn0w, which can now jailbreak devices running the Gold Master version of iOS 4.2.1. Furthermore, this release allows users to install bundles and packages without Cydia. Currently, saurik's jailbreak application store is incompatible with iOS 4.2.1; though an update is supposedly ready to be released. As Redmond Pie notes, this release is really aimed towards developers who want to get their jailbreak apps iOS 4.2-ready. However, if you're running iOS 4.2.1 GM, you too can take advantage of Redsn0w's latest update. For instructions on jailbreaking your iOS 4.2.1 GM-running iDevice, head over to Redmond Pie, where all the information is ready and waiting for you. As always, jailbreak with extreme caution. And, if you successfully manage to "liberate" your iDevice under iOS 4.2.1, let us know in the comments below!
