A Chance To Win A BookBuddy Promo Code With A Retweet Or Comment
January 2, 2011
AppAdvice has teamed up with Kimico in order to offer you a chance to win one of nine (9) promo codes for BookBuddy for iPhone and iPod touch ($4.99).
Not everyone is ready to transition to the eBook revolution, and even those who are likely have a ton of previously read and frequently enjoyed material. Personal or professional, relaxation or reference, it doesn't matter how you need to categorize or sort it.
BookBuddy could be your simple and efficient book management system. Intended for those with shelves of classics to heart-wrenchers to resource materials, BookBuddy offers the abilities to keep your physical collection of literature in check and accounted for.
Your collection is can be filtered by categories, Personal and Professional are the defaults, reading status, and keep track of any books you've loaned out. Quickly locate books using the formerly mentioned filters, plus add or delete categories from the main screen. The navigation bar features access to your Wish List, sorting options, your book library search, and settings.
Adding a book to your Wish List or collection is quite painless. Navigate to a category or enter the Wish List, tap on the "+" icon in the top-right, then search (uses Google Books) by author, title, or ISBN. If your search results happen to not include the item you're after, you can enter in the information manually.
Tapping on a book entry will provide information on synopsis (more info), genre, title, author, publisher, cover image, reading status, and who you've borrowed it to, if anyone. You can either move this book to a different category, share the book info and a link via email, and edit some properties.
Tapping the Edit button in the top-right allows you to change the author, title, publisher, cover image, genre, who it has been loaned to, and reading status: read, reading, or unread. When loaning out a book, you can pick someone from your contacts list or just enter a name manually.
BookBuddy is designed for iPhone and IPod touch running iOS 4.0 or later. As a reminder, BookBuddy is not an eBook reader, it is designed for physical literature management.
