For some it’s paranoia, for others it could be required to maintain essential security, maybe just assurance of not releasing friends, family, and co-worker’s phone numbers and emails in case you lose your iDevice, or perhaps just preventing those who just can’t seem to help but be overly curious and pry into personal boundaries outside of their own.
No matter what the case, Dash Console is a creative and handy contact management tool with protection. You can lockdown your contacts using either the traditional passcode or a unique trace pattern. Contacts can be imported or added manually. Each contact entry can house a name, image, phone numbers, and emails; providing necessary info to send SMS/MMS messages, emails, start a FaceTime session, or give them a call.
The main user interface uses i-App Creation’s Cube Plus technology™. Despite the ability to assign each contact a default action of call, text, email, or connect via FaceTime, you can swipe with your finger to easily turn each contact’s cube and manually pick, by tapping, on any of the actions. Swipe left or right on the contacts area to change pages and groups.
The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen allows access to contacts, recent list, dialing pad, and settings pane. If you swipe from left to right on the navigation bar, you’ll be taken to the edit contacts area. Navigation options now include add a group, edit current group name, and delete all contacts in the group, and move contacts from one group to another.
Dash Console is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.0 or later. FaceTime only available on iPhone 4 and 4G iPod touch. Dash Console is currently on sale for 66% off the regular price of $2.99.
