AppAdvice has teamed up with Tiny Mammal in order to offer you a chance to win one of five (5) promo codes for Weather Doodle for iPhone and iPod touch ($.99).
Make your weather checking feel more creative. Weather Doodle displays the current weather condition and a basic 5-day forecast in a unique and effervescent way. Watch the sun rays move about joyously, the glow of the stars pulse, semi-transparent clouds drift over the sun or moon, hail bounce off of the rolling hills, fog cloud the view, and much more.
Along with some entertaining animations, Weather Doodle adjusts content based on the time of day, and even changes the moon depiction to reflect the current lunar phase. The sun will appear to be making its merry way above the horizon in the morning, shine brightly during mid-day, and move back behind the hills upon dusk.
Weather Doodle includes one art theme package, Paperscape. Paperscape is a collection of colorful layered paper objects that seem to bring a sense of childhood nostalgia. The optional Printmaker theme is picturesque printed elements decorated over a wood surface. To me, it resembles a sidewalk chalk effect on an unpainted yard fence.
The settings pane, accessible by tapping on the "i" in the bottom-right, includes options for enabling or disabling additional weather statistics and units of measurement, location management, and access to "The Art Shoppe." Upon adding a city, you can pick from a number of available weather reporting stations. Each location is identified by organization name, city location, and distance from the center of the city you chose in the search results.
Weather Doodle is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later. Tiny Mammal currently offers the Printmaker art package as a $.99 in-app purchase. Additional art packages will become available in The Art Shoppe at later dates.
