If you're looking for a native Facebook app for the iPad, you may be interested in checking out Facepad - Facebook for iPad. This free iPad application allows users to access their Facebook account on the go, and enjoy a Twitter for iPad style interface.
The application includes features such as:
Currently, Facepad isn't perfect. Using the application feels like browsing Facebook online. This is because the app uses touch.facebook.com as its core, meaning Facepad is kind of a glorified mobile browser. Furthermore, while the app is free, it is ad-supported. If you're running iOS 3.2, you should avoid Facepad. This is because the current version features a bug, which causes the application to crash when running under iOS 3.2. An updated version of the app has already been submitted to Apple. At this moment, no official "Facebook for iPad" app exists. For this reason alone, regardless of it's faults, Facepad deserves a place in the App Store. Alternatives include Friendly Plus for iPad, which you should probably check out before Facepad (because in my opinion, it's better).
