Apple is planning on holding an "all team meeting" next week, and recently asked retail employees to sign non-disclosure agreements. The employee meeting is expected to foreshadow a media event, at which Apple may premiere the second generation iPad, or a new line of MacBook Pro models.
The news comes from Apple Insider, they write:
People familiar with the company's retail plans revealed that Apple employees on Monday were asked to sign non-disclosure forms. Those who did not sign are said to be excluded from the next employee meeting, expected to be held in the next week. For a while now, a MacBook Pro refresh has been expected. Over at the online Apple Store, new laptops aren't expected to reach customers for three to five days. Many claim this indicates the launch of a new line of MacBook Pro laptops. Alternatively, Apple could be planning on unveiling the second generation iPad at the supposed media event. Last year, the first generation iPad was introduced on stage in January, leaving many of us expecting to hear an announcement of the iPad 2 in January 2011. However, the time came and went, with no official announcement being made - let alone a special event. If Apple is going to release the second generation iPad in April, a media event must take place soon. Unfortunately, as of this moment, no one knows if the rumored "all team meeting" could even lead to such an event, or whether the event could introduce the iPad 2. We'll keep you posted.
