AT&T is looking to combat Verizon in a new TV ad, which shows off the remarkably low price of the iPhone 3GS handset.
Back in January, both Apple and AT&T reduced the price of the 2009 handset to $49. Now, AT&T is looking to combat Verizon by showing off the price of iPhone 3GS handsets, possibly after realizing that nobody cares very much about making voice calls and surfing the Web at the same time.
Personally, I find it kind of funny that, while we talk about the upcoming iPhone 5, AT&T is advertising the iPhone 3GS.
Obviously, this is because you don't need to take out a small loan in order to buy an iPhone 3GS with AT&T. If you're not particular about having the latest handset, grabbing an iPhone 3GS for $49 is undoubtedly a really good deal.
And, AT&T wants to remind you of that. Here's the video, let us know your thoughts in the comments.
