The iPhone Dev-Team has updated PwnageTool to include support for iOS 4.2.1. Now, all iOS device owners can jailbreak their iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad via PwnageTool's untethered solution.
Furthermore, the anti jailbreaking measures Apple incorporated into the iBooks app have been eradicated in this release. As the Dev-Team notes:
PwnageTool also includes two very recent improvements to the 4.2.1 JB: iBooks was just fixed by @comex and @pushfix last night so that it works as intended on DRMed books, and the wifi problem on AppleTV 2G was fixed by @nitotv, @DHowett, and @saurik. Both of these fixes will also be available in upcoming Cydia package updates, so if you’re already jailbroken you can wait for those updates rather than restore and jailbreak again.PwnageTool 4.2 can provide an untethered jailbreak solution for the iPod touch (3G, 4G), iPhone (3G, 3GS, 4 - including the Verizon iPhone 4), iPad, and Apple TV (2G). You can download the latest version of PwnageTool by heading over to the Dev-Team's blog, here.
