Why You Shouldn't Swipe At Your iPad With Sticky Fingers

We all know that using your iPad with dirty hands is generally a bad idea. Not only does it mess up your iPad's screen, but it's also possible to find out exactly what you've been doing, just by examining the smudges. The news comes from Design Language News, who recently took a look at how certain iPad apps translate into smudge marks. As you can see in the below image, pretty much everything, even watching a video, leaves a traceable mark. Here's what DLN has to say about the investigation:
Because the primary input method of the iPad is a single piece of multitouch glass, developers have incredible flexibility to design unique user interfaces. It's hard to appreciate the variety of UIs though, since turning the screen off removes virtually all evidence of them. To spotlight these differences, I looked at the only fragments that remain from using an app: fingerprints.
