Volvo V60 App Will Let You Monitor Your Car's Charge Status On The Go

Volvo's upcoming diesel hybrid automobile, the V60, will allow users to run their car on electricity alone. However, one major downside electric cars have, is the time they require to recharge - between three and 7.5 hours, in the V60's case. Fortunately, Volvo is planning on making the wait a little easier for its customers. They have developed an iPhone application, which allows V60 owners to check their car's charge status on the go.
As you can see in the video below, the app will display the "estimated time remaining" until your V60 has been fully charged. It's definitely a good idea, and one V60 owners will appreciate.
The car itself is set to go on the market in 2012. Owners will be able to drive the vehicle in three modes - electricity only, "hybrid," and "power" - with the latter mode boasting a total of 215 + 70 horsepower.
We've embedded the video below. If you're interested in checking out the app, skip forward to around 2:37. And, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments.
