According to a leaked internal memo, Apple has ended its rebate programs for MobileMe and iWork - possibly hinting at an upcoming refresh.
Previously, new Mac and iPad owners could get a $30 rebate on MobileMe (usually $99) when purchasing Apple's online service with a new product. New Mac owners could get a $30 rebate on Apple's iWork suite via the program, too.
However, according to a leaked internal memo (above), Apple ended the program yesterday. This could possibly hint at a MobileMe and iWork refresh, both of which have been rumored for quite a while now.
Apple is rumored to be updating its MobileMe service eitherĀ towards the end of April, or at its WWDC conference. New features could include an online music service - "iTunes Cloud" - or an online digital locker. Further rumors include an Apple video streaming service to take on Netflix.
We'll keep you posted on the status of a MobileMe refresh. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts in the comments.
