NowStream App Allows Users To Stream Torrent Files To Their iPhone

At the TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon, which took place in New York City this weekend, one hacker created something rather spectacular - an iPhone app (called NowStream) that allows users to stream torrents to their handset, and start watching them instantly.
Here's how the service works:
Simply head over to a torrent website and copy the link to a torrent file. Jump out of Safari, open NowStream, copy the link and hit "Get." The app will then give an overview of the file (such as type, name and size). At the bottom of the summary is a "Stream" button - touching this will start streaming the file to your iPhone or iPod touch.
How awesome is that?
The service hasn't yet launched, but it should be available in a beta version soon. You can sign up to the beta by heading over to http://nowstre.am/ and inputting your email address.
We hope to have a more hands-on article on NowStream soon. Until then, check out the demo video below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
