An iPad 2 Clone, Even Down To The Box (Updated)

May 11, 2011
Just one month after Apple sued South Korean-based Samsung Electronics Co., claiming the electronics giant copied the look and feel of its iDevices, we now have proof by way of a series of photos of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 “Limited Edition.” In photos obtained from This Is My Next, Samsung’s latest tablet is strikingly similar to the iPad 2. Similarities aren’t just evident in its hardware design, but also in its packaging. In Apple’s April 15 lawsuit, the company alleges Samsung violated the company’s intellectual property. It specifically targets the company’s “Galaxy S 4G,” “Epic 4G,” and “Nexus S” smart phones, and its “Galaxy Tab” tablet. According to the lawsuit:
“Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple’s technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products.”
Don’t these pictures prove Apple’s case? What do you think? Leave your comments below.
