iOS Apps Gone Free: Digital World Camera, Puzzle Dozer, Dream Skate, And More

Today's AGF list includes two tower defense games with a bit of a twist, some photography apps that can livin' up current photos and bring about a whole new world, an arcade game bundle that will make you think we're back in the '80s, and a skateboarding game of dreams.

iPhone:

Puzzle Dozer ($0.99 -> Free, 10.4 MB): A unique physics puzzler where you control a bulldozer from a top-down view to move crates into the proper positions. The game features 40 increasingly difficult levels in amongst four stages, and Retina Display level graphics.

Puzzle Dozer is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 26 ratings.

Video To Panorama ($1.99 -> Free, 1.3 MB): Forget those old-fashioned photos and share more with a panoramic shot. Create a panoramic photo from a fresh video or choose one from the camera roll. Three quality levels are available and the original video is saved for later.

Video To Panorama is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 6 ratings.

picfx ($1.99 -> Free, 17.2 MB): Quickly add lighting, galactic, plastic wrap, or other effects to your photos. A handful of frames are available if you're just looking to make for a better presentation. The app features 47 different effects in 13 categories, and photos can be shared with Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Tumblr, or email.

picfx is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 109 ratings.

Game of da Dead ($0.99 -> Free, 8.6 MB): A tower defense game with more interaction than most. Along with strategically placing things like mines, control a machine gun turret and missile launcher to save all of the humans that haven't been infected. The game features 100 levels across five planets.

Game of da Dead is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3-star rating with a total of 1840 ratings.

Retrogamebox ($0.99 -> Free, 51.1 MB): Get a nostalgic feel by playing over a dozen minigames influenced by classic '80s and '90s PC and console titles. Game types include platformers, action, shooting, matching, and more.

Retrogamebox is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 9 ratings.

Universal:

Digital World Camera ($0.99 -> Free, 15.4 MB): Experience live visual effects like the digital rain from The Matrix or turn your world into a cartoon. Get a moment that looks epic? Share the awesomeness via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, or email. There are several preset effects offered, although, the color, transparency, and other adjustments are available.

Digital World Camera is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 51 ratings.

Dream Skate ($0.99 -> Free, 17.8 MB): Even if it's just a dream, you can have plenty of fun leaping over mailboxes, riding on rooftops, speeding under monster trucks, and so much more. With cartoon graphics plus simple but challenging gameplay, this daydream is enjoyable for everyone. The game features 30 levels throughtout three environments.

Dream Skate is available for free today only (10/04). It has a 5-star rating with a total of 12 ratings.

Magic Defenders ($1.99 -> Free, 36.3 MB): A tower defense game mixed with RPG elements. Defend your village from the Orc attacks, gaining strength with experience. The game features three scenarios, quality graphics, and OpenFeint integration.

Magic Defenders is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3-star rating with a total of 9 ratings.

  • It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
  • The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
  • The free version of your app must not include ads.
