Catch Up On Major Updates With Diablo 3 News
Diablo 3 News (Free) by Prolifisa Solutions gives a news feed for Diablo 3 updates from various web sources.
Diablo 3 is a long awaited addition to the Diablo universe that has recently gone into beta testing. The app is connected to and run by just one site which you can find here.
There are five sections to look at, but the app opens up directly onto the News feed which gives all the latest additions. The articles seem to cover all major news releases that you might find on various fan websites including links to those sites.
The News can vary from fan messages to official “blue posts” from Blizzard. You can also filter the feed using several options, including character class.
When viewing an article, you’re supposed to be able to save it to your Favorites by tapping the Save button on the top left. Unfortunately, this does not seem to work.
The Media section is meant to hold various pieces of artwork, screenshots and movies. Currently, there are only two pieces of artwork available and no screenshots or movies.
There is a section for the app’s Twitter account, but that doesn’t seem to work either. Furthermore, a search on Twitter reveals no results. You can link to a Twitter feed from the above website, but it claims to be for Belgium and it’s written in French (according to Google).
Finally, the last section is called Gamble. Here you can tap or shake the screen to be shown a random article.
The app is a nice idea, but not quite complete. The news feed does show many major articles, but is by no means comprehensive. Many of the other areas of the app simply don’t work at all. This is a bit disappointing considering how much information is out there on Diablo 3.
You could use Diablo 3 News to view some major announcements as they arrive and at least it is free. But if you’re a hardcore fan, you’re better off visiting your favorite websites on your own.
