Today, Walter Isaacson’s highly anticipated biography of the late Steve Jobs is available to purchase from both bookstores and e-bookstores around the world. The book, which is based on more than forty interviews with the Apple co-founder, can be purchased from the iBookstore ($16.99) and Amazon ($17.88), along with many other retailers.

For the past week, extracts from the biography have been hitting the Web. The book, whose author also penned the biographies of both Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein, looks to be an essential read for any Apple fan.

As mentioned, you can download the “Steve Jobs” e-book from the iBookstore for $16.99. However, if you prefer physical books, Amazon is selling the biography for $17.88 and ships it free of charge.
