Dragon Shout: A Skyrim Record Keeping iOS App - Available For Free

December 12, 2011
Dragon Shout (free) is a new iOS app that allows Skyrim gamers to keep a detailed record of their journeys through the open-world of the poplar console game. If you haven't heard of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it's the game (available for XBOX 360, PS3 and Windows) that everyone's talking about. Developed by Bethesda Game Studies, the RPG pits players against a variety of foes (including dragons!) in an explorable open-world. However, in a world as big as Skyrim's, it's incredibly easy to lose your way and forget exactly what you've done where. Enter Dragon Shout. The free universal app is a well-designed record keeper for players of Skyrim. As outlined in Dragon Shout's release notes:
A Skyrim app for your adventures. Ever forget who buys dragon scales for the best price? Where was that awesome place with a lot of dragon tongue? Where was that epic dragon battle you experienced? Use Dragon Shout App to mark your greatest battles, how you tackled quests, where you found unique items, and more.
Current features of the app include:
  • Create a Dragon Shout account to keep all your markers synced across your iPhone, iPod, and iPad (any iOS device).
  • Easily create quests, battles, items, and special markers
  • Filter out markers to make things easier to find (full text search coming soon)
However, in the near future Dragon Shout's developer is planning on adding social features to the application, which will allow Skyrim gamers to share their experiences, help others and boast about how many dragons they've slain. You can grab Dragon Shout in the App Store now for free. It's a universal app, meaning it's compatible with all of Apple's iOS devices. Check it out, and be sure to post your thoughts in the comments. [via iDownloadBlog]
