AT&T, Verizon Post iPad 3 Teasers To Their Websites

March 7, 2012
Later today, Apple is set to announce its iPad 3 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. However, ahead of the announcement two of the company's partner carriers - AT&T and Verizon - have posted what would appear to be iPad 3 teasers on their respective websites. First up, AT&T has a message on its home page: "Coming Soon!," the message readers, "Get ready to see an exciting new addition to our line-up." Below the message, users have the option of entering their email address, so they can "Be first in line" once the super-secret announcement AT&T refers to has been made. Verizon, on the other hand, has a message which reads: "Something is coming. Be among the first to hear the news." Clearly, both AT&T and Verizon are on-board for the iPad 3. In fact, if you cast your mind back to last June, we heard that the iPad 3 - or iPad HD - would be AT&T's first LTE-compatible iOS device. Since, a number of rumors have indicated that Apple's third-generation iPad will indeed support LTE, with The Wall Street Journal noting that an LTE iPad 3 will launch with both AT&T and Verizon. Besides support for LTE, we're expecting the iPad 3 to launch with a Retina display, an improved processor and perhaps even a better pair of cameras. Take a look at our round-up post for a collection of all our favorite rumors in one place. [via iDownloadBlog]
