Hidden Object Game Uncovers Nikola Tesla's Great Secret

Not gonna lie, as an electronics engineer, I am Team Tesla all the way, rather than Team Edison. But, lucky for you, I'm not here to give you an inherently boring lecture on the merits of the great Nikola Tesla. Instead, I'm here to talk about Adventures of Laura Jones, a new iOS game in which the famous but criminally underrated 20th-century inventor features prominently.
Subtitled The Hidden Invention of Nikola Tesla, Adventures of Laura Jones is yet another hidden object game optimized for the iOS platform. At the center of the game's plot is the intrepid Laura Jones, who goes on a trip to Europe only to discover a note ostensibly from Nikola Tesla. It turns out that the note provides clues to one of Tesla's lost inventions, a machine that can generate clean energy. Thus begins Laura's quest to solve the mystery of one of the inventor's greatest secrets.
Like most games of its kind, Adventures of Laura Jones is a hidden object game mixed with logical puzzles. The challenges offered by the game are linked in some manner to the game's storyline. Expect to apply first aid to a cut finger or recover escaped chickens at some point in the game. How either of those missions relate to the plot is beyond me at the moment, though.
Adventures of Laura Jones: The Hidden Invention of Nikola Tesla is now available in the App Store for $2.99 for the iPhone version and $4.99 for the iPad version. If the game is indeed worthy of Tesla, it should at least be narratively electrifying.
