LinkedIn (free), the "professional social network," is now universal, adding iPad support, as well as Retina display graphics for the new iPad. The app is broken down into three sections: Updates, You (profile), and Inbox.
After being an iPhone-only app since its launch in 2008, LinkedIn's v5.0 update takes full advantage of the iPad's larger screen size to provide a gorgeous interface help you stay up-to-date with connections, groups, industry news, and all of your other updates via the Updates section. Another new feature in the Updates section is the calendar, which you can configure to sync with your iPad's calendar. This allows you to see the LinkedIn profile data of whoever it is you're meeting with.
With over 150 million members, LinkedIn makes it easy for you to find someone with common interest, skills, work experiences, and connections as you. This is where the You section comes in. Here you will see your current connections, people you may know, and those who have viewed your profile.
The Inbox section is pretty self-explanatory. Here you can send and receive LinkedIn messages and invitations to your connections.
In addition to these great features, LinkedIn is rolling out a new mobile web experience for Safari on the iPad. You can try it out here.
If you don't have an iPad, don't worry, as the iPhone version has received some nice improvements and tweaks as well.
LinkedIn is available in the App Store for free. Are you a LinkedIn member?
