Monster Difference (Free) by Bilu Games is a spot-the-difference game filled with funny monsters. See if you can find the missing object, but be quick about it. You don’t have much time to catch the dissimilarities.
This game is designed with kids in mind, but it is definitely challenging enough for the grown –ups as well. The key to what makes it so fun is that each level is timed. Players only have 30 seconds to spot the differences between each picture. It may sound simple, but it’s not.
There are three different levels of difficulty. In “Easy” mode, players have 30 seconds to find three differences between the two side-by-side pictures. The first two are usually easy to spot. You’ll notice something like a different colored tie, or a crab on the ground. The third difference is always well hidden and subtle. There may be an extra polka dot on a mushroom or a longer scar on a monster.
In “Medium” mode, players have the same amount of time, but must find five differences and “Hard” mode ups the ante to seven differences. For each increase, the majority of the objects are fairly simple to spot, but the last one or two differences will stump you.
This is definitely a kids’ game. The art is cartoony and funny. The catchy song is lighthearted. The color scheme is bright. Even though it is geared toward seven to 12-year-olds, this game is just as fun for the big kids. You can compete against your son or daughter to see who can spot the differences fastest.
Monster Difference is available for both the iPhone and the iPad. However, I recommend playing it on the iPad. The differences are nearly impossible to spot on the smaller screen.
The game is free to download, but only the first three levels are available to play. You can play all three in Easy, Medium and Hard mode. If you want to unlock the full game, it will only cost $0.99 as an in-app purchase and I recommend it. This game is definitely fun for the whole family.
