Lawsuit Evaded: Google's Nexus 7 Avoids Customer-Friendly, Apple-Style Packaging

July 16, 2012
I don't have my own Nexus 7 tablet to unbox (I'm waiting for the iPad mini, of course), but I've been able to experience the event -- vicariously and hilariously -- through good old YouTube. Android Market rebranding or not, the thing just doesn't want to come out and play: Apparently, Google and Asus don't take packaging quite as seriously as Apple (or, in turn, Samsung) when it comes to the all-important first impression. Of course, most of these amateur unboxers probably should've had a knife at the ready, as fingernails and blunt, plastic collar stays a blade do not make. This kind of makes me want to buy a Nexus 7 just to see how hard it really is to open the box. Thanks to YouTuber JLishere for the comical compilation. Source: JLishere Via: Cult of Mac
