Apple is offering variable denomination iTunes Gift Cards this holiday season both at their retail stores and at third-party locations. Consumers can purchase these in any denomination between $15 and $500, according to 9to5Mac.

Prior to this year, users had to purchase iTunes Gift Cards in specific denominations, such as $15, $25, $50, and $100. This appears to be the first time Apple is offering variable denomination cards for iTunes, although it is a practice Cupertino has long used for hardware gift card purchases.

These cards will come in handy, especially when using the new FaceTime Camera scan feature in iTunes 11.
