Just hours after iTunes 11 was finally made available for download, we’re discovering more interesting new features.
TUAW has pointed out that iTunes gift cards can now easily be redeemed with your Mac’s camera. The iTunes gift card must have a box around the redemption code, but if it does, you don’t have to worry any longer about mistyping that long string of letters and numbers. The site also surmises that this feature is part of Mountain Lion's Core Recognition framework.
As Bryan M. Wolfe reported earlier today, iTunes 11 sports a completely new look compared to previous versions of the software:
First introduced by Apple in September, iTunes 11 is a radical departure from past versions. It includes a redesigned player, and a new mini player. Additionally, it offers two new views, library and expanded, plus Facebook integration. And for the first time, iTunes is without its traditional toolbar on the left side of the screen. You can download the new version of iTunes by going to Apple’s website here or by choosing the Check for iTunes option in the software.
