The Cartoon Fun Of ToonCamera Comes To The iPad

Code Organa's fun photo and video effects app, ToonCamera, takes another big step forward. A long awaited feature for some, ToonCamera v3.4 finally includes iPad optimization, plus adds two new effects and one additional sharing option. Already enhanced for iPhone 5, this latest update brings things full circle in iDevice optimization. Now you turn your life into a cartoon through the even bigger window, i.e., your iPad or iPad mini. Even though ToonCamera works best on the third and fourth generation iPad, fifth generation iPod touch, and iPhone 4 and newer, Code Organa has backpedaled compatibility all the way to the third generation iPod touch and original iPad. Of course, these camera-less iDevices can only modify photos from the camera roll and some older iOS devices have subpar still cameras, but it's still nice having the choice. The final perks of v3.4 consist of two new cartoon effects, the integration of Tumblr, and improvements to Instagram sharing. The result is now 11 total effects, three line art styles, import or capture mode, still image or video processing, seven ways to share, LED light support, and the use of the iSight or FaceTime camera. ToonCamera is a universal app compatible with second generation iPad, iPhone 3GS, fourth generation iPod touch and newer running iOS 4.3 or later, and available in the App Store for $0.99.
