Note: See update below
Google’s Gmail client for iOS has received an important update. The latest version brings multiple account support for the first time. The free app also includes a redesigned look.
Sparrow, the popular iOS email client for Gmail, was purchased by Google in July.
Full changes in Gmail 2.0 include:
- App redesigned with a new, cleaner look
- Search predictions as you type
- Infinite scrolling inbox
- Respond to Google Calendar invites inline
- Interactive Google+ posts support
- New welcome experience
Note: Since this first posted, we have received reports that Google has now pulled the update from the App Store. This situation appears temporary, as Gmail’s official Twitter account confirms.
Looks like the new Gmail app for iOS is still rolling out on iTunes. If you’re having trouble, try again later.
