Installing iOS 6.0.2 Might Not Be Such A Great Idea

December 20, 2012
Apple recently released iOS 6.0.2. The release is primarily to fix a Wi-Fi bug that affected a small number of users. Unfortunately, some believe that since installing the update their iOS device’s battery life has been impacted. The issue may be related to the updated devices now working harder to scan for Wi-Fi access points, according to TidBITS. Their advice: If you aren’t experiencing Wi-Fi issues with iOS 6.0.1, don’t install the update. This is good advice, especially with developers testing the fourth beta of iOS 6.1. It should be noted that the limited number of sites that had reviewed iOS 6.0.2 reported no problems with the update. Gotta Be Mobile, in fact, gave the update a glowing review. If you are experiencing strange battery issues since upgrading to iOS 6.0.2, please let us know. In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated. Source: TidBITS
