Updated: The ThisLife Photo App Pulled Temporarily From App Store

December 3, 2012
Note: Please see update below. One of the most promising apps to recently arrive in the App Store is no longer available. The ThisLife service, which remains online, makes it simple to share photos across multiple devices for one monthly price. Positively reviewed just days ago, ThisLife uploads photos and places them on a visual timeline. From there, individual photos, or the timeline itself, can be shared with others via email, or through social networks. A message on the ThisLife website indicates that the app is "coming soon." We can hope that this minor inconvenience is only temporary. For customers who have already downloaded the ThisLife app, the service appears to be working as expected. Update: Since this was originally posted, we have heard back from ThisLife about the pulling of the app. Though a spokesman, they state:
We were disappointed to see some unexpected bugs show up in our older app. We made a last minute decision to pull that app for the short term and maintain the great user experience our customers expected from ThisLife.  The good news is we are very close to launching our new apps, iPhone and iPad, soon.  They are amazing and will offer features consistent with our award winning UI.  As you reported, the older apps continue to work well. The bugs occurred when there was a new re-install. Thanks again for your interest, and stay tuned.
We will let you know when the new ThisLife app arrives in the App Store. In the meantime, be sure to check out, First Look: ThisLife, Where Memories Go To Live And Grow
