Plants Vs. Zombies For iOS Available For Free For First Time Ever

February 21, 2013
Plants vs. Zombies for iOS hasn't received an update in over five months. But that's all right, once you realize that the iOS versions of the popular tower defense action have just gone free. That's right. For the first time since their launch in the App Store in 2010, both Plants vs. Zombies for iPhone and Plants vs. Zombies HD for iPad are available for free. If, for some reason, you didn't get to download either version of the game for your iDevices between 2010 and a minute ago, now is the perfect time to do so. Because did I already mention that both Plants vs. Zombies for iPhone and Plants vs. Zombies HD for iPad are currently available for free? It's not indicated in the App Store description for either version of the game, but it's likely that the price drop comes as a result of Apple's Free App of the Week promotion. If that's the case, then Plants vs. Zombies is the latest high-profile title to be featured as such by Apple. Recall that Infinity Blade, Epic Games' groundbreaking action RPG for iOS, became Apple's Free App of the Week last week. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, Plants vs. Zombies is now available in the App Store for free. Plants vs. Zombies HD, which is compatible with iPad running iOS 3.2 or later, is also now available in the App Store for free. Go forth and get both now. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
