Skype For iPhone Update Brings Automatic Reconnection Feature

February 7, 2013
Just a few days after Microsoft updated Skype for iPad, the iPhone version of the app has just received some new features. Most importantly, in version 4.5 of the app, Skype now automatically reconnects a dropped called when your Wi-Fi or cellular network strength is weak. Along with other general fixes and improvements, one-to-one chats in the app now will appear in the correct order. Skype for the iPhone is available for download in the App Store now for free. It can also be used with the iPod touch. The iPad version of Skype was updated to version 4.5 on Monday. Along with the automatic reconnection feature, tablet users can now add money to their Skype accounts directly from the app to send SMS messages or make phone calls to cell phones or landlines worldwide. The feature is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, and Estonia.
